Artisan Technology Group
Case Study for Logo
A logo I designed for Artisan Technology Group, a software/IT management company. I was asked to create a logo using the word ‘artisan’ as a base for ideas.
With the client being new to the logo design process, I provided a lot of initial samples of established businesses to get an idea of likes and dislikes. Below you’ll see some of the rounds of proofing with the client.
Initial Ideas
After some initial mind mapping of the word ‘artisan’, I narrowed down the visuals to paint brushes, paint strokes, and paint blotches.
Result
After narrowing down the colors to a yellow/orange, I came up with some business card variations to show the logo in context.
I used a black carbon mesh background of the business cards to offset the light yellow/orange of the logo. I also added some of the brush strokes I used in previous mockups to emphasize the stroke from the logo.
